Our classroom groundbreaking
On Monday, April 17th, we gathered at the site of our future outdoor classroom and ceremony space along the St Louis River for a groundbreaking and water ceremony. About our grant
The Indigenous Women’s Water Sisterhood began in 2020. It sprang out of a Mellon Grant with the Institute of Advanced Study and Roxanne Gould’s research on Indigenous women and water protection. Read more about the grant allowing University of Minnesota scholars to show how Indigenous perspectives and approaches can be applied to climate issues here.
